Shane Prill explains his work ethic in the following way: “I simply treat my clients like I would want to be treated. I invest my clients’ money carefully and intelligently.”
A graduate of Wayne State College with a degree in finance, Shane began his investment career in 1986 after gaining valuable experience as a tax practitioner and community banker. Shane is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the American Funds Advisory Council. Shane also currently serves on the board of Greater Wichita FCA.
Shane previously served for 10 years on the board of directors of the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), including the final five years as chairman of the board. During his tenure, he also served as chairman of the Investment Committee for the more than $2 billion pension fund.
Throughout his career, Shane has taken great pride in the trust his clients and their families have placed in him and the other advisors of the branch. As of June 10, 2026, the branch oversees more than $1 billion in advisor and brokerage assets under management, a reflection of the long-standing relationships and confidence clients have entrusted to the team over the years.
Shane lives in east Wichita with his wife, Kianne, a retired national bank examiner. Their son, Luke, has joined the branch as a Financial Advisor and continues to raise show pigs while assisting with the family’s agricultural operations. Their daughter, Lauren, is married to Sully, and together they are continuing the family tradition of cattle ranching in northern Kansas. Lauren and Sully have blessed Shane and Kianne with two granddaughters, Grace and Hannah, who are the joy of their lives. Shane and Kianne especially enjoy spending time with their granddaughters and supporting their growing family.
In his spare time, Shane continues to maintain the family ranch and cattle operations and remains involved in the show pig business alongside Luke. Shane and Kianne are avid Wichita State Shockers men's basketball, as well as huge Kansas State Wildcats fans, proudly supporting the Wildcats, where both Lauren and Luke graduated. They can often be found cheering on the Shockers at home games in the Roundhouse or the Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Shane and Kianne are members of NewSpring Church.
